Cynthia Baca is CEO and executive director of Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada (RTSNV), the southern Nevada affiliate of the nationally recognized organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners nationwide.
A 20-year veteran of nonprofit service, Baca has extensive experience has a leader in nonprofit capacity building, fundraising and donor development and cultivation. As CEO, she is responsible for the organizations overall financial management, program strategies, messaging and stakeholder partnerships and fundraising.
Prior to RTSNV, Baca served as director of development for the UNLV Foundation. In her capacity, she led private philanthropy, including donor cultivation and solicitation, foundation and corporate relations, and proposal and grant writing; culminating in transformational gifts of more than $25 million for the foundation.
Baca is a graduate of Colorado Women’s College, in Denver, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. Baca is a resident of Las Vegas where she lives with her husband Gilbert, and has two grown children.
Therese Elliott serves as Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada’s (RTSNV) director of program development and marketing. In her position, she is responsible for managing approximately 60 housing rehabilitation projects concurrently throughout the year. Additionally, she is responsible for managing $500,000 to $650,000 in annual renovation and rebuilding budgets, internal and external audits with government agencies, and other local and national funders as needed.
In her 14 year tenure, Therese has partnered on grant writing projects for numerous funding sources to include, the Division for Aging Services, the cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson, and Clark County. Additionally, she is responsible for the development of comprehensive volunteer programs for each renovation project as well as recruiting and maintaining relationships with community partners and sponsors.
Therese is a native Nevadan and a former certified medical technical.
Ann Velier serves as Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada’s (RTSNV) program manager. In her position, she is responsible for perspective client evaluations and needs assessments to ensure that each client meets the qualification for repairs and ensures that their expectations are meet throughout the renovation project.
With more than six years at RTSNV and 25 years of engineering firm administrative experience, Ann’s day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring timelines and progress and all project specific issues that arise during each renovation. Additionally, Ann requests bids from contractors and ensures that renovations occur according to schedule and within budgetary guidelines, without sacrificing quality.
Diane Armstrong Winn serves as Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada’s (RTSNV) operations manager, where she is responsible for planning and coordination of the organization’s day-to-day operations. In her role, she finds ways to make RTSNV more productive by creating effective methods for its business operations. Diane’s role also includes, coordinating program budgets, facilitating programs and meetings, inventory control and handling logistics.
A great communicator, with strong leadership skills and an aptitude for quick and efficient problem solving, Diana’s diverse background and experience includes casino operations and office management positions for various mailing service companies throughout Las Vegas. Diana is the former owner of American Copy Centers (known today as Mail Boxes etc.).
Diane is a proud native-born Nevadan and a graduate of UNLV with a bachelor’s degree in English and has accumulated credits towards a Master’s degree.
